Question: How do you feel about using/reading internet speak? (Stuff like "dat", "lyke", "2,b,hw,dis,dat,rele,etc")

I don't use it but don't really care when reading it - 5 (17.9%)

lol its not about tym its about it being easy
but yeah your right it wudnt make much of a difference
but i guess its a habit now
and i should really practice writing properly, since im givin TOEFL next year

It's good cuz it takes less time while typing..but it has some disadvantages as well
sometimes i forget to write the whole word when writing assays...my teacher is annoyed sometimes..she says "you are not in msn!!" lool!! write properly!

but im over this problem...worked hard to overcome it!

for me it seems has no effect on the way i write in school, n i don't think it'll have any bad effect on anybody, unless the prson  in front of the computer 24hrs a day Cheesy

and its ok if at least they write words which we can easily read

I dont sit 24 hours a day but somehow i got affected by it!!
Anyways i prefer sometimes to write the whole words (no shortcuts)

oh god i just hate that kind of writing, when i add some one new in messenger and see them chatting like that i just feel like deleting them right away !

seriously it makes me sick ,people should use proper English everywhere.

if some words are used like that in case you are in hurry or such then its ok ,, but to make it your OFFICIAL writing way that sucks .

thats what i think. People should use proper English always. I've got a friend she is so used to writing that way, she even once wrote in the exam a sentence like " the manager lykd the idea bt he cudnt choose wch one was the bst "   imagine you write that in English exam ?

Haha-I think that people should just when learning to use a computer take a simple typing course by going online there are many takes like 10/20 minutes and practice and then you can type really fast and you don't need to use the internet speak (which sometimes makes you sound stupid with all your "this and dat" no offense haha... better overall just to keep your standard of english perfect while writing anywhere!
