Check my reply in the other thread.
You need winrar to first extract them and then you can read the files using adobe.

You can download it for free: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
If it asks to pay after you download it, just skip that and it will work fine.

If you can't get this to work, there is another one, 7z : http://www.7-zip.org/

Does anyone have the edexcel January 2013 past papers for Religious studies Unit 1 Foundations and Unit 2 Developments (on Buddhism) A level exams at all? Thanks if you're able to help!
